Inclusion Poster Rules and Evaluation Criteria

Inclusion Posters

Due: Saturday, August 21 by 5:00 pm

Description:

Truman State University is an institution that values all members of our community and promotes inclusion through our values and activities.  As part of the College Cup Challenge, four representatives for each team will collaborate to create a poster design that illustrates how their team contributes to an inclusive and welcoming community. Posters will be unveiled on Saturday evening as part of the College Cup Challenge Finals.  Poster designers from each team will be invited on stage to be recognized and offer brief comments on their design.

The theme for this year’s poster competition is “Inclusion and Diversity in Action”

What does inclusion and diversity mean to you and how can everyone in the community play a role in unifying our campus as a place where everyone has a voice, a safe place to be their authentic self and devote their energy toward their academic goals rather than distractions and hurt that come from microaggressions or more blatant discriminatory behavior?

Design Instructions:

  • The poster may be designed in a medium of the teams choice, however the final product must be submitted digitally using any type of software.  Think about how different mediums may appear when produced in digital form so you can make sure your creative designs are able to shine at their very best.
  • Only original works can be used (no copying the works of another artist)
  • Limit the size of your design to 8 1/2” by 11” and save it to a PDF file.
  • When the poster is completed, send a copy to kdean@truman.edu .
