Move-In Day: Aug. 15, 2018

Residence Hall Check-In

Plan to arrive between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Use the Move-In Map to locate your student’s residence hall, as well as 30-minute parking parks for unloading and long-term parking lots. Students will be issued temporary, 30-minute parking permits. During extremely busy periods, Residence Life staff and students will add additional curb side move-in assistance. Long- and short-term parking is available and staff will assist you with your move-in needs.

  • Residence Hall Cafeterias (Centennial, Missouri, Ryle Halls) Open Move-In Day from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Cost: $6.00 per person for family members and guests, no additional charge for first-year students.
  • Mainstreet Market, Student Union, open from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Starbucks, 1st floor, Pickler Memorial Library, open 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

IT Service Center

During Move-In Day, the IT Service Center will be open from 7:30 – 8 p.m. for any mobile device setup to Truman resources and computer assistance. The Service Center is also open during the hours of Pickler Memorial Library through-out the year. The student computing section at aids students with common issues and questions.

Parking Services
General Services Building 100 | 660.785.7400
Open from 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Students must register their vehicle online through TruView. Parking decals will be in Truman Days packets when new students arrive on campus if registered by Aug. 1. Extended Parking Services Hours 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19. Resident and Commuter Parking Decals – $130 per academic year; Park ‘N Save Decals for designated lots – $50.

Shuttle Service
Complimentary Move-In Day Shuttle Service will be available 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (approximately every 15 minutes) providing transportation between designated Long- Term parking areas and residence halls. For shuttle service assistance, call 660.785.4200.

Open from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. to receive student health history forms and immunization records. Students who have not been vaccinated for meningitis will not receive their room key before meeting with Student Health Center personnel.

8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Phone service is not part of the standard residence hall room and board fees as most students use their own mobile phones. If you are interested in having a landline phone in the residence hall room, phone service can be purchased for an additional $100 annually by indicating it on the housing contract.
