Move-In Day Information for Incoming First-Year and Transfer Students

Residence Hall Check-In
Plan to arrive between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Use the Move-In Map to locate your residence hall. Students will be issued temporary, 30-minute parking permits. During extremely busy periods, Residence Life staff and students will add additional curbside move-in assistance. Long- and short-term parking is available and staff will assist you with your move-in needs.

- Residence Hall Cafeterias (Centennial, Missouri, Ryle Halls) Open Move-In Day from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Cost: $6 per person for family members and guests, no additional charge for first-year students.
- Mainstreet Market, Student Union, open from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Starbucks, 1st floor, Pickler Memorial Library, open from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

IT Service Center

During Move-In Day, the IT Service Center will be open from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. for any mobile device setup to Truman resources and computer assistance. The student computing section at its.truman.edu aids students with common issues and questions common issues and questions with setting up their devices on campus.

Open from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Students must register their vehicle online through TruView. Parking decals will be in Truman Week packets when new students arrive on campus if registered by Aug. 1. Extended Parking Services Hours available from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 18.

Open from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. to receive student health history forms and immunization records. Students who have not been vaccinated for meningitis will not receive their room key before meeting with Student Health Center personnel.

Due to continued Mall renovation, the primary entrances are located on the west side of the building (from Franklin Street) as well as our south entrance. (Weather permitting, secondary access will be available from the mall on the east side.)
